I have a pre99 autococker that i am working on, replacing orings, updating parts and making into a sleeper. I am trying to remove the valve. With a post 99 autococker you remove cocking rod, remove the frame, remove the ivg, remove the bolt, from the top down remove / loosen the hammer lug, remove the hammer, remove the retaining nut with a valve tool, remove the retaining bolt from the bottom, then the valve will slide out.
So far i have removed the cocking rod, frame, ivg(different ivg), bolt, and i cant seem to figure out how to remove the hammer, there is no top hole, there seems to be a hole in the bolt tube but i do not have an allen wrench that will fit that, there is a hole in the hammer but there again i cant seem to find the right allen key, SAE or metric, do i need to just go find a wider range of allen keys or is there another way to remove the valve on a pre99 if there is a write-up, video, or really anything that someone knows of already can someone point me to it my google foo is failing me more than usual as normally there is at least a video or something like that.
Also this might be a separate topic and more for a moderator but is it possible to have a sticky with common issues, tear downs, orings, something like that on the front of the Autococker sub forum? .
