    WGP Consistency Help

    Recently started playing paintball again after a decade away. I have a WGP Prostock, with a CP reg and CCM pump kit, I lubed the marketer and replaced all the orings, but it’s not shooting very consistent on the chrono. I’ll get 2 to 3 consistent shots and then a flyer either high or low. I’m curious around what pressure others are running their cockers at and also a suggestions on an aftermarket valve. My cup seal has a gouge in it from my spring which I’m guessing isn’t helping my situation.

      The number one thing that will cause inconsistency is the paint, if your paint is inconsistent no reg or valve will help you. Second is rollouts/partials, what are you using for a barrel or rollout prevention?

      I run my sniper between 275-300 psi with older CCM lowers and it runs well.

          I am going through this now as well, also with autocockers. Find a "home team" guy at your field, and ask him for ten minutes of help. Swap the new tank you probably just got, and then swap barrels over the chrono. Once you can cut those variables out, you can start to figure out what is wrong with the gun itself. It's probably paint to barrel match though.

              Stock WGP valves are good, just replace stem/seal unless you really want a new valve then there's tons but your mileage may vary. Like the others have mentioned, junk paint is the biggest factor. Maybe your CP reg needs a rebuild or a re-sweet spotting. Always best to underbore with a pump, or a slight over bore with something to prevent roll outs.

                  My local paint is typically between.682 - .685, I use a freak it for 82 & 84, & an Empire 2 piece for .685.

                      I would bet the paint is the issue. For best consistency DONT bore match. Underbore or overbore with dummy detents/Wedgits.

                      Any suggestions on where to get a stem/seal from?

                        after rebuilding or changing regs, give things a chance to smooth out by keep shooting paint through it. a lot of regs usually settle down after 1/2 to full case.

                        as long as your cup seal isn't leaking i wouldn't worry about it.

                        like others said though, prob real issue is the paint. my phantom is really consistent , but this past sunday kept shooting 265-265-260-293-266..etc and it was just the paint bore being all over the place
