    Lug bolt stripped

Hey guys, I'm looking for a suggestion on how to get a lug bolt backed out of the hammer that is stripped? I can feel the allen key slipping when I try to back it out.

Take the frame off notch a slot into the lug from below and use a screw driver to drive up into hammer from below. That is based on your hammer lug being normally accessed from the top of the marker.

I thought about as an option. If I keep the hammer I can always just replace the lug.

another option is to completely degrease the lug and hammer. then put a dab of epoxy on the tip of your allen key, place in stripped key hole, wait for epoxy to cure. provides a filler for the stripped out adjustment and usually enough tack to grab..

Yup...I plan on using my rotary tool tomorrow to slot it for a screw driver. Didn't have time this weekend.
    Working...
