Hinge frame without the trigger return spring?

Can I run the wgp hinge without the trigger return spring? I’m building my first trilogy and I’m not a fan of the 1.5 hinge. Trying out this double. Initial instal had me short stroking quite a bit, but I’ve since run out of air.

The V-spring in front of the trigger? Yes, you can take that out.

Yes the weird “v spring” I was wondering if it’s not being there could result in more short stroking.

You can but IMO it just makes the trigger worse feeling. All in a sudden you can feel all the grit in the trigger and if the 3-way is dragging you can get the trigger to stick. The trigger is also slower without it as the trigger return force is lower.

I've removed the spring on two hinge frames. No problems to report. The trigger was lighter and faster, and I never had an issue short-stroking. If I recall right, I don't think I messed with the other springs at all.
