WGP Trilogy Hinge Frame Trigger Pin Removal

Trying to remove the trigger pin from the hinge frame of a Trilogy. Old owner didn't take good care of his stuff and I'm trying to strip it all down and give it a good clean. I've tried a pin punch, but that did no good and I just wound up with some "idiot marks". I read somewhere the pin is knurled, so it would have to be driven out in a specific direction. Everything else from the frame (safety, sear, sear screw, sear spring) has been removed.

I've checked youtube, old forum posts, and still no luck. Any ideas? Do I just need a bigger hammer? Picture of frame attached. Thanks!

bang it out with a hammer and punch - you can use a little bit of tape to help the punch from dancing around. Soft-jaw vice or soft-jaw vice liners make the work easier.

it's supposed to come out in one direction, but from the looks of it. the previous owner had that pin out and it could be in either way.

So usually trilogies do not have a set screw on that pin.
Buuuuuut you should still double check the top of the trigger. Many WGP triggers have a set screw holding that pin. I don't know how consistent the trilogies were in this regard. Plus it could have been swapped with a different WGP frame.

Otherwise it is knurled in the center and you can just push it out with a press or hammer like latches said.

It helps to set the frame on a block of wood with the pin over a hole drilled through the block of wood.
