    WGP trilogy rebuild advice

    Hello,

I converted my trilogy sport to a pump about a decade ago. I'm getting back into pump and want to do some improvements. But I've never built a cocker before.

I'm a little overwhelmed by the choices, and I don't know where to dive in, or what quality parts to get, or even what is compatible.

I'm keeping it a pump. Otherwise I'm open to whatever.

    Thank you for your time.

Rebuilding pump cockers is super simple, especially trilogies. There has to be plenty of videos on YouTube of people taking them apart. The regulator might be the hardest to take apart and rebuild. But since it's a pump there isn't much for timing or anything. The only thing you will need to adjust is regulator pressure and hammer lug when you are done.

As for upgrades, besides a barrel kit, I would say you really do t need them. They will make improvements but nothing major.

if it were me and I wanted to build a nice trilly pump, after a barrel kit I would get in order a single finger trigger, CCM lower tube (11/16 valve, hammer, and springs), on/off, slice pump kit (depends on what you have now), inceptions designs bolt, and maybe some ice cream because I'd be hungry from all the hard work of swapping parts.

However after putting in all that money, you could have bought a nice Phantom, sterling, or used upped pump autococker.

I absolutely love my Trilogy pump. Slice pump kit from Autocockerparts.com , freak barrel and a new bolt and your shooting fantastic.

I would have it milled for a clamping feedneck. (I can do it if your interested). I would also consider swapping the lowertube internals and picking up a decent delrin bolt.

They're hard to track down, but what you really want is a morph valve. Pump or semi, it's the best valve you can get for an 11/16 gun. Like others said, a nice bolt, feedneck mod, and maybe a good frame with an autotrigger. You'd have a real sick gun after all that.

I disagree on the morph valve. I didn’t like the few I had. I would personally go with something more main stream especially for someone that may not understand their quirks or how to troubleshoot one.

That’s fair, they can be a bit of a pain to set up. But it’s set and forget just like any other cocker valve.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I've got a shopping list now. Probably going to start with a reg and an on/off. Should I get a new gas house or will it be ready enough to reinstall the original one?

Then maybe a lower tube, and finally a bolt.

It's the first gun I ever bought, so it's got some sentimental value. Even if we get to an argo ship situation.

So, is there an auto cocker thread for regulators, or is there a standard thread?

I hear CP regulators work well with trilogies.

Also, as far as a new bolt.... Full length? What size is compatible?

Also thank you all for your time

Standard tank threading, nothing specific to autococker threads.

Cp regs work. I would also recommend, aka or inception. I would not recommend dye unless it’s the df20 or whatever they called it. They often shipped too low out put pressure and need additional shims.

              full length 2k+ bolts

Just a heads up the Sport model does not need a regulator just a gas through. They did not have a regulator from the factory.

If its already set up as a pump, then you are close to being done.

HPR - Get a CP reg, they are easy to find and are good quality.

On/Off - Whatever you like, any will do (as long as it degases when turned off)...

Barrel kit - Get a Freak set up.

Lower tube - If you are at the point where you notice a difference, you are playing at a professional level and should be using something other than a Trilogy. Leave it as is and go play.

Clamping feed neck mod - Get it done, you'll appreciate it...

Too many people change things they don't need to change, just so they can say "Look how cool I am, I have (insert name brand) items on my gun!"

Over the years I have come to realize just one thing; Reliability is the most important asset of a paintball gun. It can have hundreds of dollars worth of name brand parts on it, but if its not reliable its just another piece of scrap.

                  Just my two cents......
