Got one in 97 for winning a tourney. I sold mine as guns were popular prizes for tourneys back then and most of them went up for sale straight away to pay for the next tourney or travel cost. One of my teammates got Bud Orr to scratch his name on the other side with a stylus and kept it for many years. They were just bone stock cockers with the laser engraved badge.

These were pretty common to find in years past. I'm sure they don't pop up as often these days. I've owned a couple, a '98 and a '00My Old Feedback (300+) https://web.archive.org/web/20180112...-feedback.html

I had a '98, and a couple more of the same passed through my shop.
In August of 1998, the APL (American Paintball League, led by Bob McGuire) came up here to Alaska, and held a tournament. Bob and his wife and Bud Orr and his wife were here, and the event was held out on Elmendorf Air Force Base. (Now Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, or JBER.)
Some of you long-time MCB'ers may remember a fellow by name of Dave Puerner, I think he was here as "P3". He was the one that started the field on Elmendorf, called "Sector 7G", which of course is a Simpsons reference.
Probably at least a dozen of the '98 APL 'Cockers were handed out as prizes- as noted, including a couple for sportsmanship. My little shop was just getting off the ground at the time, and I took in a couple for milling and other mods. I ended up buying one, too, but eventually had to sell it.
As noted, they were stone-stock 'Cockers at the time, with the only difference being the lasered logo on the side.

Hey Walks: If you end up finding or assembling a '98 for your collection, I have one of those black-and-gold barrel plugs, unused.
