    Dye Ultralight backblocks.

Does anyone know of a possible source for one? I have an ultralight I got years ago with no backblock. My understanding is the threaded portions are not substantial and they broke frequently when misadjusted. Worst case I used a 2k backblock but I figured I'd ask first.

I would try freeflow first. They recently did the dye reflex and should have been a really similar back block.

Closest thing will be the terrible "superbolts* from China... they don't exactly match though.

Sadly best course might be to mid block it

Midblocking would hurt my autococker heart. I will try freeflow maybe they have a setup part or two from that run. I see way more reflexes now and then. The ultralight seems to be a an oddity. It also has the strangest valve I have ever seen. The poppet is pointed on the front in a cone and sprung from the rear. Thanks for the help.

So just reached out to Freeflow and the backblock will not work with the standard dye reflex it would not hurt to ask about the ultralite. I have a reflex that i want the back block for as well. Also the valve you described is not the stock valve for the ultralite that is a Madman rocket valve. Some people like them some do not, they are harder to time and are a pain to get out of the marker. Most valve tools will not fit over the little white plastic piece that holds the spring on.

If you reach out to BMC or Mozak ask if it would help to have 2 or 3 blocks to do since I would be down to have them work on mine as well.

Ok awesome after all these years I was not even sure where to start on the valve. I will reach out to freeflow when I am back in the states. Traveling for work makes it hard to work on them but I can collect info.

            Really appreciate the help everyone.

Not sure how freeflow can help as they haven't yet made anything with the ultralight milling.

Also.... this ultralight doesn't happen to be a clear to blue fade one does it?

because it would be roughly the same general shape as the reflex. though it likely won't match it will fit.

I suppose... it would definitely look off though.

It's not a clear to blue fade. It's a clear to red fade. From what i have seen the current reflex from freeflow has the upper scoop like the ultralight in the top tube but still different. How uncommon are these?

The back blocks? Give you an idea a friend bought the remaining inventory of dye cocker stuff back in like 2010 and he didn't have enough blocks for bodies.

A friend bought a clear to blue body that was missing a back block in hope I'd copy one for him..... absolutely not. He sold it and it's been making the rounds since.

Ok with that knowledge who is a trusted resource for quality midblock milling? Rather see her as a midblock I guess than a wonky Evo.

You'd be better off buying a whole other cocker before that.... reverse engineering alone is going to cost you more than it's worth

Does anyone have a back block that is messed up they would be willing let go of?

Wish I did I would weld and tap the pump rod hole. I would also let someone reverse engineer it for science. It would maybe be easier chasing a psychoballistics superbolt. I think many got improperly timed and that was the end of them. I don't think the twist lock bolt helped upgrade happy buyers either. I will probably start chasing someone to midblock mine.
