I feel's like Facebook has destroyed the paintball forums in general. FB cocker pages are so much more active than PbN and the cocker section here. My problem with FB is 90% of the posts are B/S/T. Very little discussion there beyond people showing off their new build, an airsmith showing off their newest work, etc. And the few people I've PM'd with seem to want to guard their knowledge instead of sharing it.

Thank goodness MCB is still kickin.
Facebook is full of angry people with opinions. We really only have a couple people on here like that.

Facebook and Reddit have ruined online communities by centralizing them with the guise of convenience. Unfortunately you now have each formerly unique community under the same rules and regulations, and with whatever other limitations the platform applies. Searching the internet is already atrocious because of the algorithmic nature of search engines, but Facebook's search function in particular makes it so difficult to find anything.
The recent Reddit blackout is a perfect example of why this centralization sucks. A ton of communities went "dark" in protest of new rules being implemented.
If either platform went under, all that info is lost and unrecoverable.

That is so true... FB is just a horrible venue for so many reasons. Personally I prob wouldn't mind if the FB groups got shut down. Like I mentioned before, there is VERY little knowledge there to preserve. And that would hopefully push people back to PbN or for CC to reopen.
I'd love to find a nice PM8, in several B/S/T groups with like 20K members...and cannot manage to find a single one. Something is def off about FB's search function. Don't get it...
Bummer. I was on that site more than I was on here in the late 2000's. The site always suffered with semi-frequent weeks long blackouts and maintenance issues.
Kmack's part-ID threads were always useful.
