    Eclipse parts questions

Pretty sure that the valve, hammer and rex dialer are Belsales. Just looking for confirmation. I thought it was weird that this body was threaded for an IVG, but it had a rex dialer in it. Trying to figure out how I want to build this thing. I’m going to keep it. I’m going to ditch the chrome front end and go gloss black, probably look for a nice black slider also.

    That’s the one from Craigslist?

I couldn’t get the guy to message me back for nothing. What you end up getting that for just curious.

    Thats a Rex

I would put a nice gloss black Slider from Mozak he basically has every option available made to order now.

Obviously a Belsales Angry frame frame is the only option allowed, ignore our blasphemous Chuck E Ducky , he must be delirious from staring at the members only section too long. Mozak frames are quite nice tho, just not on this build.

yes that is a belsalse lower tube, with a super charger valve.

Yes it was normal to have a rex dialer in threaded bodies. Most players ditched their threaded Ivg when buying a belsales internals because the benefit was that you didn’t have to remove your cocking rod to adjust velocity. At his gun is period correct btw. So no need to switch out any parts

I have a 2001 body with no threads for the beavertail, and it also has threads for IVG.
Had me a bit confused for a bit.

Okay, we’ve established that only an Angry frame will be allowed on this build. Now let’s talk about the other bits I need for this thing. I’d like to modernize the front a little. I can’t afford a whole Eclipse front end. I was thinking an AKA lpr, an Eclipse ram, and I’m open to 3way options.
I also need a black front block. Im also pretty sure that is a shockteck bolt. I don’t know what came in this, but I’m sure it costs a fortune and will be impossible to find. Will the Cocker Gods be angry if I put an AKA bolt in there ?

In this picture I see 2 different variations of the eclipse valve. I have one of each type in my markers. Is there any significant difference between them from your experience?

yes there was a difference, I like one on the left the best. Honestly it's been so long I don't remember any of the pressure differences. They do sound different.

That's cool, I didn't know Belsales/Eclipse ever made a valve like on the left. Were those only in Eclipse guns? There are two other version of the Belsales/Eclipse valve I know about. The one on the right is the first version (which is similar to a WGP stock valve) and the second is the same except the valve body is not drilled all the way through (only on one side). There wasn't a big difference between the two valves I'm referring to though.

You don't have to be a purist. Use whatever parts ya want and have fun 🙂 The only thing I would avoid is doing permanent changes like milling or drilling.

        I would void Dye pneumatics.

AKA makes a great LPR. Only downside is it requires a tool to adjust. Palmer's also just got some black Microrock LPRs back in stock. They are awesome and you can get a knob to adjust them by hand.

IMO the ram is the least important part of the pneumatics. The STO ram you have now will work perfectly. I'd choose a cheap one that matches the LPR and 3way, and put the money you saved towards the (Hollowpoint) 3way. I honestly think the Empire ram is the best deal (gloss black, all aluminum, cloned version of the Belsales).

I'm a sucker for the Holowpoint or Angry 3ways. You cannot go wrong with either. Otherwise the Shocktech Bomb is great (1st or 2nd version). The Inception Designs 3way is also it superb, however it can be a giant headache to install and service.

Use whatever bolt you want. If you're ready ordering an LPR from AKA, grab the bolt too. Another great option is to have the Shocktech bolt you currently have modified for orings by Angry Paintball or BMC Fabrication. But the Shocktech bolt is fine now if you are not worried about efficiency or lowering your operating pressure as much as possible .

Shocktech makes the nicest 2k frontblock. But get whatever front block you like. It is your autoccoker ,after all.

        Edit...
One final suggestion: Don't cheap out on internals for the Angry frame. I doubt you'll find one with original Belsales internals So you will want to find a nice trigger plate, sear, and brass-tipped glide screws if your Angry frame did not come with them. The best pre98 trigger plate is AKA's, the best 98+ plate (currently available) is probably the Shocktech. The best roller sear (currently available) is the Freeflow S7. Then you'll want to get a variety pack of high grit sandpaper (about 600-800-1000grit minimum but righter to better) and polishing paste. Proceed with polishing the trigger plate, sear, and brass tips of glide screws on a flat surface. The process is worth it.

I'd much rather have an Angry frame with above internals and stock WGP pneumatics, than have crappy frame internals and tricked out pneumatics.

Sounds like you're set up bud! I wish I had parts bins like that haha The Balsales roller is my absolute favorite, no need to polish that one iirc

I seem to recall Angry frames being on eBay (prob overpriced tho). I would not be surprised to see them going for $200-300 these days, especially the newer humpback version. If I see one anywhere, as well as anything else decent you might like, I'll let ya know.

I will add that in my opinion, even the modern Dye/FF pneumatics are quite good, it’s hard to go wrong. With the caveat that I personally don’t like a ram I can’t open, so I won’t use the FF ram.

Thanks I’d appreciate that. The roller sear was in a case with my first cocker. The think I got it 98. I found it a couple of years ago and have had the intentions of rebuilding it. That has led to me now having 4 cocker projects 😂

Wow, that's looks like a well done custom mill L/F. It absolutely deserves to be up and running as well! Tho I'd also be focusing on the Eclipse in your shoes

And I like how that autococker laid in wait for 15+ years to get ya hooked on the scene haha

        Hollopoint 3 way.

Eclipse ram and 3-way are possible. Eclipse LPR’s are exceedingly rare and expensive.

spend the time and money on the Angry frame guts though. You have a sear already.
