    Trilogy rescue

"My sons gonna be pissed when he finds out I sold this, but f**k it, he hasn't used it in years."

I met a guy from Kijiji in a McDonalds parking lot who was offloading some of his son's gear that was occupying space in the garage. Amongst the cheap department store masks and MilSurp clothes that immediately went into the dumpster, there was a nice little Trilogy.

    Dirty, though.

REALLY dirty. Looks like it was stored directly under the table saw while he renovated the basement.

Anyways, I broke out the Q-tips, and cleaned it up a bit. There was so much sand in it, which makes me think he played with this at the old indoor field up here.

Cup seal leaked bad, and the detent is so seized a week of soaking in Kroil did nothing.

I've wanted to try a balanced valve, and since the Nova valve never panned out I figured this would be a great chance to try out a Lazarus. Slapped it together with some new ACparts. Had a VF Tac Ergo reg an SM1 barrel, and a Sconi ASA floating around from a previous flopped project.

Shot in the backyard, and it's ready to rock. Haven't chrono'd, but it sounds like it's at velocity. I know the Trilogy regs are decent but I like the BIG REG.

So far I like the 1.5 grip, but I may look at something else in the future.

Looks like an evil bolt. Always wanted to try those. I like the look of the short back end.

The 1.5 frames get a lot of flack for not a lot of reason IMO. I like them better than the full 2 finger WGP hinge. Shorter pull that's easier to get a good rhythm with.
