    Smoke/transparent gray pneumatic hose?

Anyone have a lead on some smoke/transparent gray pneumatic hose? I swear this used to be readily available back in the 2000s but I can’t find it anywhere.

or do I just need to try and dye some clear?

I would just crack a sharpie into some boiling water then dip the hose in. Use a stainless pot, you might have to use solvents to clean up the ink

Hahaha I would go a little more refined than that. Plus sharpies go purple when they dilute. If I have to dye I will just get some of the rit dye that is formulated for plastics.

I just find it hard to believe that there isn’t a transparent gray out there. But I wasn’t having luck looking for 1/16” id hose even on non paintball sites… found all sorts of other colors and shades though.

They only have green, blue, and orange transparent from what I can find in the right size.

Looks like you can get a few transparent colors, as well as " natural" tubing in 85a hardness from Freelin wade. Not sure if that's stiff enough to stay on barbs, but I think it should be.

Yeah, same issue there, they don’t have the smoke/transparent gray.

They will make colors on request, not sure if you have to buy a bulk amount to do so.

I would assume you have to get a lot, but maybe an option if its cost effective enough to just resell extra to cover it... but not sure I care that much haha

Just dye some. It's super easy. I'll do it for you if you want. Just cover shipping.

That’s what I am thinking about just doing. What dye specifically do you use? I know there is a rit dye for synthetics I have seen people talking about for mask parts.

Def get the synthetic Rit dye. The regulator RIT can handle some plastic like nylon while it cannot touch others like Delrin.

Id suggest them graphite color (or possibly light grey but it can sometimes appear a tad purple) and very slowly increasing the concentration of dye in the mix and the soak-time of the part. Cut small pieces of line and do test runs with each increase in concentration. Dying plastics can be tough. Some soak up dye in seconds, such as G10 or nylon, while others might take over an hour. This is why i suggest doing small increases in concentration and a variety of soak times with each concentration
