    What to know about psychoballistics

So I aquired a NiB (no, really) Superbolt in a spur of the moment decision, only to discover that they're not very well regarded online. What exactly are the problems associated with the guns, and IF I encounter those issues, is that something a 3rd party pneumatic pack and/or valve assembly will fix? I keep hearing that it's a common pump host, but I'd prefer to keep it an autococker if possible.
I don't have a spare reg or asa to test it with atm, so now I'm just imagining tons of horror stories lol.

Before modding it to death, I do plan to test it after I either relube or replace every seal in the gun because it's been sitting for +/-20 years.

It's going to be a multi-month project, so time and money aren't major concerns as long as the end result is a decent gun.

I would plan to replace all of the seals. Make sure to take note of the trigger frame thread pitch. I want to say they are not 10-32.

I remember when the zippered case they came in was worth more than the guns themselves.
Most guys would replace the front end, or convert to pump.
I had a similar cocker, an Odyssey, all the screws were different threads than normal, and none of the pneumatics worked.
I think even the pump arm was a different thread.
I replaced the front end and played with it for years.

Yep, dye knockoffs I think, very poor copies.
I throw them away, and I am a hoarder of parts.
I think the banjo bolt is threaded correct, and the front block can be used.
The ram and pump arm are a different thread, so is the 3 way, and the trigger bar is a different size.
The aluminum is very soft, so be careful with the back block and gripframe.

It's pretty much a dye knock off but yeah I would just throw those pneumatics in the trash, I don't think iv ever heard of anyone saying they ever work lol

My Superbolt wasn't machined correctly... the barrel stops about 1/16" away from the breech so there's a big gap for the ball to sort of float around in, and I couldn't get some valves to fit correctly. It's still sitting in a drawer collecting dust.

And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

They had tolerance and machining issues for sure. Cheap Chinese Dye clone, and the Lightning was no better.

Once you change the pneumatic they are usually really god. Even stock WGP pneumatic are smoother than the psychoballistics one.
I personally don't like their frame but it is probably just a preference, I always found it too small for my hand.

            They make fine pumps.... Usually.

There was some member on here who had one that the the two tubes were not drilled parallel
