New Poster, longtime player(ish) can you guys give me some info on this?

What's going on guys/gals? I dug out some of the gear out of the attic and have had this critter nagging me for a bit. As far as I know the internals are all original, I grabbed it on pbnation over a decade ago and had to slap the bomb on there, and the back block came from a one off bob long cocker (as I was told anyways). Pretty sure the sear and lug are worn down a bit more than most would like so I'd like to just get a new hammer set. I'm looking to just set a couple bucks aside and get a period correct back block, and redo the whole front block/ maybe get the body anodized. Just out of curiosity (no I'm not selling it) but what is this kid worth? I really want a fun woods/hybrid marker thats super silky. Should I mess with the valve or nah??? Thanks in advance dudes!

Marker is worth prob 1100-1350 in current state. Built out and finished around 2000. Get aka lpr, barrel, a back block, try to find an aka asa (hard to find) and she will be a fine part of any collection.

I would leave the original anno alone, there is a good amount of people that pay for original pieces like that, beautiful marker!

That is a Splat Attack revenge V1. It's pre-2k banjo with the standard LPR and 3way location. Great autococker!

          AKA / Splat Attack Revenges (V1, V2 LE, V3)

In 98 WGP created a shortage of vert feed bodies, basically crippling custom shops and setting the stage for someone to step forward and fill the void. In 1999 Splat Attack was one of the first to do so using AKA's new VLM bodies, producing the first complete cocker clone called the Revenge.

In July 1999, WGP filed suit against AKA/Leads Metal and Splat attack for violation of trade dress laws (NOT patent infringement) for their use of the back block for damages in excess of $10,000 and the seizure of tools and assets used in production and machining. A federal judge dismissed the case in Jan. 2000 in favor of AKA and Splat Attack.

The Revenge V2 was the successor of the V1 in 2000, and featured the largest changes of the lines. Although the external looks were very similar, it was built on AKA's new VLM Merlin body with its larger valve; it also featured a unique inline front block that placed the lpr and 4-way in the center of the block. AKA also marketed the Merlin as a stand alone kit to replace their earlier VLM Bodies. As the VLM moved further out of awareness, the name was shortened to Merlin.

The later Revenge V3 was nearly identical to the V2 with the exception that the ram was placed at the back of the gun. The V2 LE was produced after the V3, but in far larger numbers; The only difference was it featured the smoother round body milling. The Revenge was available with a slide or a hinge frame and sold only through Splat Attack.

I think 2k would be a stretch for a v1 even built out it will cost him $500 or more to put into it. (on/off, pneumatics, feedneck, back block, bolt regulator plus any other odds and ends). You would basically be keeping the lower tube internals, body frame and frame internals.

I personally see this closer to 1k or maybe even a bit less.

One recently was sold/traded for elsewhere for a predator m170 and $350. Here is a pic of his. Similar condition to yours. All the pneumatics were toast, less desirable frame but has a matching back block.

I'm with Superman. This is worth less than 1K in the current condition.

But that shouldn't matter you. This is well worth fixing up and getting going. I would finish it out the way you like, just keep the (top of the line) stock internals assuming they are in there. They are really great shooting guns and I am sure you will enjoy playing with it. Very well made bodies.

You can get a raw backblock that will be a good match here https://akapaintball.com/products/st...ock-merlin-vlm
This green should be a fairly easy match if you want to get it anodized to match along with a reg and ASA or something.

Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

Alright thanks! Is there any way I can pull that stuff out and differentiate it from other potential aftermarket brands just from pictures on the internet, or would I have to post pics for you wizards to take a look at?

Cockers were always a fun "mystery" for me so I never tore them apart. Well I did, but that ended in my dad being pissed and having to drive me to the shop on friday evenings.

Also, I've tossed a reg on there and ran air through it, there was a leak out of the front of the 3 way, formerly it cycled but I think the ram ended up getting compromised in the process of trying to figure out the timing. The 3 way is slightly loose so keep that in mind, but I've changed the o-rings, and also the timing rod length all the way back and forward with air in the marker and couldn't find a sweet spot to stop that leak and then start to figure out timing. Bent timing shaft maybe? Tighten up the 3 way all the way to the body then throw new hoses on and see what happens? Sell my guitar amps to Robert Johnson so I can learn to finally play well?

Thanks all of you, already. Now I'm dug in on this project... and I think my wife is stoked too?!?! So there's that!

The entire thing is going to need a rebuild. I would not fix the leaks as they pop up. Just bite the bullet and rebuild the whole thing.

yeah that was my thought as well, I was hoping to tinker a bit but I planned to change the color of the pneumatics to black anyways. I'd rather start with brand new parts if I'm gonna drop the coint. Time to play adult legos over the next couple of months. Thanks man, I'll shoot you a message if I come across something silly or get a wild hair on my ass that I need "talking out of". Don't worry boys, she's not gonna get drilled.
