    Springfeed Sniper Build

I enjoy looking through all the build threads here so I figured I'd do a thread on a build I'm currently working on. I play a fair bit of pump and a couple of years ago I got a pgp and played a few games with it, had a blast so I figured it would be fun to put together a sniper that ran on 12 grams. I tried to put one together that was unregulated (after reading a few of the very informative threads here on that topic), and while I could get it to work, as experienced by others I just wasn't getting the consistency and shot count I wanted to decided to put a regulator into the mix. I got the setup dialed in so I'm getting over 40 shots at around 270-280, which is where I'm happy (shout out to latches109 for the right-feed body and grip frame). After I got that sorted, I figured that I would want to run either a stick feed or a spring feed... or both! I was looking through the phantom website and it occurred to me that a phantom springfeed might actually work on a cocker body, with some modification.

I ordered both a phantom springfeed and stickfeed, and did some test fitting, and it seemed plausible. The next step involves a huge shout-out to Brandon at BMC Fabrication, he did some custom milling to make everything fit. The setup looks amazing and feels great. I'm a tall guy with big mitts and I like a marker with some meat on it, this setup fits the bill. It points great and I'm sure it will turn a few heads on the field. Next step is polishing and anodizing, I'll post up when I get it back from anno and put together. Here's some pics of where things are at currently:

And here's a pic of the internals, old-school WGP brass valve with a relatively stiff valve spring and a light hammer.

Looks like a fun setup I need to get on my SC sniper project. If you chop paint in that spring feed we figured out a fix for it.

Thx for that info... I'll see what happens when I put paint through it. Brandon did some test feeding after he finished the work and apparently it fed well, so fingers crossed.

That's a very cool build! I had a spring pheed setup on my S6.5 years ago and it was a blast to shoot.

Really Nice build! - 30-40 shots on a 12ies makes me want to try them again on one of my snipers. Where was your reg pressure set when you finally dialed it in?

Thanks! I can't remember exactly what the pressure was... it was definitely not 'low' pressure, but well below 800, maybe mid 400? I'll put a gauge on it when I get it back together to get some numbers.

On my stock class sniper build I’m running CCM lowers and 350psi. I get close to 40 shots at full velocity.

Looks fanatics! Where are you playing these days? I should give you an invite next time I head out to play (as rare as that is).

Hey man. I generally go to Ambush. Going to try and get out a lot more next year, so definitely hit me up when you head out.

*RichM Great that's where I play. Only a couple times a year, but better than nothing! I usually haul out a bunch of random fun markers to shoot as well. The regulars there are pretty nice as well and I know a few that I've sold gear to over the years.

I've been in the same boat for the last few years (not getting out as much as I would want), but when I go I do the same thing... bring a bunch or random markers and play with a few over the course of the day. I've made myself a promise to get out a lot more next year.
