Cocker springs

So it's time to respring my old ptp cocker. I might have left it sitting cocked for 20 years.

I have a shocktech spring kit that I bought for the gun before I put it away.

What's a good overall spring set to put in? Not looking for crazy low psi or anything. Just reliable. Needs to be pretty much ready the first time without much adjustment.

So would it very soft valve and hard main or the other way? Or some other combo?

Inception has a "master" spring kit for hammer and valve, with different stiffnesses. Can also find something similar on Autococker Parts

Just pick a kit and run with it there pretty much gonna be the same from what iv gathered other then the SLPS kit which is a very light valve and hammer set also comes with springs for a slider frame I highly recommend these as they feel so light and nice

I absolutely adore the SLPS valve springs, I use them in every single B2k I work on and all my cockers. I like to use inception springs for the hammer/main springs though. In general on a mech you want the springs to be as light as possible and still hit velocity.

Some of it is personal preference, but I like a hard valve/softer main in my Snipers/Cockers. Keeps it efficient and quiet. I don't generally care what OP my gun is running at unless I'm building it specifically for low pressure.

If colors were still a thing I'd probably run a green valve/blue or yellow main to start.

The Fire Springs are nice and best bang for your buck. Get them from Docfire PB, Bearded Works, and Angry PB. Also made in the USA.
