    VF Tactical repair

I’ve got a VF Tactical that I bought like 3 yrs ago, played once, then everyone I knew stopped playing. Now I’m trying to get back into it but the cockers leaking off the front & I don’t know what I’m doing with this marker 🤷‍♂️😓. Anyone know someone who repairs?

Do you know where it’s leaking from specifically?

If it’s never been rebuilt it’s a safe bet that the 3-way orings are mush. That might be a good place to start.

It seems to be leaky from the 3way.
I don’t think it’s ever been rebuilt. Which 3 o-rings are you thinking?

If it’s the stock 3-way I believe it should internally look similar to the 3-way on my orracle, minus the finger adjustment knob on the end.

I’d start by replacing the two orings on the shaft and the four orings on the spool.

An oring kit is available here:

You shouldn’t even have to mess with your timing, just twist the spool all the way out, then undo the forward set screw on your timing rod collar and drop the shaft out the front.

The inline reg probably needs a rebuild too. Oring kits are available on autococker parts.com

WGP regs are a pain to get apart, I use one of these to thread onto the reg, clamp it in a vice, and twist the top part off without mauling up the threads.

There's also plenty of us here that do commission work as well if you are not comfortable working on it.

Shipping it back and forth would not be the cheapest but it's an option

I do always encourage people to learn how to work on their own gear though

One thing about the 3 way leak. It can, and is fairly common to turn out to be the ram instead. What happens is the ram sail ring fails (it's a high wear item) and is allowing air to bypass around it. Whenever there is air in one side of the ram, the other side is venting through the 3 way. So when the sail o ring fails air vents through the 3 way and everyone thinks it's the 3 way that's the problem.

If you still have it together the easiest way to check is to pull the hose off of the front of the ram, air it up and see if air is coming out of the 3 way or the front of the ram.

                3 way= 3 way problem
                Ram= ram problem

I def like working on my own. This cocker is the most in-depth marker I’ve owned, usually a Tippmann guy. I’ll start with the 3way o-ring kit & go from there.
                    🙏🤞🙏🤞
If that doesn’t work, I’ll reach out again & prob hit up some of you in the DM’s to see about repairs.
                    Thx hive-mind
