I have one of these frames and what I did was set the hammer lug flush with the body and adjusted the 3 way timing. -
Yes the hole in the plate is designed that way. I like using a flattened timing rod personally.BeardedWorks.com (Your Inception Designs and Shocktech Dealer)

You use a flattened rod with the GF frame? I've never noticed one used with a GF frame. I assumed ST intentionally built in the slot to make them more reliable/easier to time, kinda like the older slotted plates. Not that you'd need the extra reliability since you're capable of teching you're gun on the fly.

I remember when I was 13, I saw a kapp classic for the first time in person and immediately noticed the timing rod was flattened to fill the trigger slot. So I went home and took the timing rod out of my 98 Autococker and smashing it on the sidewalk with a tack hammer. I still have hearing loss from doing this. I also smashed a .27 cal nail gun blank with the same tack hammer. Ears rang for days. After that, the Autococker never worked correctly again.Comment
