The Jams had a visible internal spring, or at least mine did. I remember noticing it while tossing it into the trash can 🤣 that bolt does bear a resemblance to one of the generation of Jam bolts rho. There were several because the design was never really perfected. At least until recently by the fellow who makes the Annihilation kits for cockers.
