What to do with an old cocker?

Hi, I'm new to autocockers and I got this in a big lot of tippmanns and other stuff. I think it's a 1996 that's seen some battles. Aside from most likely needing to replace every seal and putting in correct hardware, I know I'll need to helicoil the body because someone ran in an incorrect frame screw, and replace the bolt because it looks like someone shot rocks through it. So my dilemma is, what route to go with it? Restore to its former vintage glory, update with modern parts, pump conversion, or just keep it around and look at it? I most likely won't take it out to play very much so I'm not looking to put all the money into it. I would like a pump cocker and I have a 2002 pro stock that works well as far as I can tell. Also any help with parts ID would be greatly appreciated.

I say just redo the seals and run it as is for now, maybe put a semi decent hpr on it. The biggest thing that all cockers need (IMO) is an on/off asa. Also if you want to use it I would pull the drop foward off, the ergos will be way better

Ya, that's probably gotta be the next step if I don't ditch the whole thing and go with a more period correct ASA with no goofy drop forward.

I always try to keep an on/off handy if i run into a good deal on something, normally a trilogy

I'm hoping some old Spyders and Tippmanns magically turn into an EMEK and that this one gets to live along side my old VM68 and Line SI.

Definitely rebuild and use at a minimum. I would find an original slider frame and original Regulator and rock it like you are in 1995. IT is from 1995-1997 based on SN#. That era is hard to determine exactly when, as there were a lot of them flying the shelf in that SN# range and years in various configurations.

That's kinda what I'm leaning towards. Bring it back to a good stock 90s look. Now to find a couple of boxes of failed projects to scrounge up what i need.

Personally, I'd run it as a cocker. I've always wanted to do a vintage cocker build with one of those untoched super chunky pre97 bodies. The huge backblock is probably a blast to shoot. I'd keep it pretty true to original, since you already have a different cocker. I'd recommend keeping and rebuilding the ram, but replace the LPR and the 3way. LPR can be swapped out either with the later sledgehammer or a palmers rock. The 3way should be swapped out for the later one-piece brass 3way. Keep the vintage look, but they're way faster and easier to work on.

Pump would be fun too, but mech is so much more fun than pump imo.

Sounds like the return to stock-ish is the way to go. I just bought an Empire Sniper last night, so I've got that base covered now. Plus the gilled shrouds just look so cool. Now to find a slide frame, the shroud, and everything else.
