Converting pre-2K to 2K

Ok ...

Might be heresy, might not be worth it, might never get to it ... but lets ask for knowledge sake ...

Can a pre-2K slab cocker be converted to the 2K front block?
What does it take? just re-threading the front block?

Now, for the more subjective part, Is it worth it?

now I'm speed-balling, is there a 2K slab cocker body?
I like the old full slab look better than anything ... (except maybe a CCM body ...)

Last ditch effort, any (low cost) wired/unique 2K cocker body?

its been done, drill and tap the body and 2k front block. more volume and better for fast shooting but u wolnt outshoot it in mech form. i prefer em to stay pre 2k

Boring out to 2k spec is for sure doable, but whether or not it's worth doing is dependent on why you want to do it. It will for sure let you go lower pressure, which I'm all for. But that's literally the only reason.

The only 2k+ full slab bodies are CCM Series 5s.

The only reason would be to mount a special pump kit ... thats it ...
I bought the kit to put on a project, but before dedicating to it 100% i wanted to explore my options.
If i could find a CCM S5 body, i would go for it, but i dont think ill be able to find a body or an S5 without front block/pneumatic/pump ... 😞

I will keep an eye on an interesting (read odd/wired) body/project, otherwise it will go on the original project.

PS: I bought the tap and die for 2K spec front block, so i could find a body and drill it or make the part needed for my build ...
