    07 Black Magic Sled Replacement?

My BM took an unexpected turn for the worse tonight when the pump arm sheared off at the sled. I located a new pump arm but I don't know about getting the broken bit out of the sled. Does anyone know if this sled will work or have a line on one that will? It looks like the back may need to be trimmed since my gun doesn't have the full slot cut out? Thanks!

Should work. That's the same one I have on my cocker.

It will be a little thinner than the space between the tubes but otherwise should work fine

The black magic sleds are thicker. I have one from a sr cocker i am pretty sure is the same style. Maybe i should model one up before letting it go.
Shoot me a pic and let me see if that is something i could remove.

I’m not sure if that will work. It’s a longer sled and the milling isn’t open at the back of that area. I don’t think it will have enough space to recock the marker.

Well, my thought was just to trim off the extended back "slot blocker" so it is similar in length to the original. I'm just not sure if the overall dimensions (it's def thinner) would still be problematic or if there was something else obvious I might be missing.

      It's plastic. Cut it

I didn't need to cut mine as I don't have a cocking slot but I did anyway because I didn't like the look of the sled with that fat tail.

It says in the auction description that it can be trimmed to fit. Just cut it.

I have a feeling SR sleds won't work, they use a different mounting position for the ram and a different pump arm - straight, no bend.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Jordan yeah, I actually ordered one because they were so cheap and over time the aluminum one has banged up the body a little. That said, I did find what appears to be a 1:1 replacement for the original on autocockerparts.com in case it doesn't work or if anyone is interested in the future

The SR was like the bastard child of the cocker line. A pain to work on and didn't use standard cocker parts. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they came out with it

I know that this is a little more, but when I had an 05 black magic, this was the sled I used.

binson thanks, I did see that one when searching last night. I figured I would give the inception one a shot since I found one for like $10 shipped and I am curious if it might be a little gentler on the slot. Mine is not terrible but still a little banged up. Thanks for lookin' out!

Lol. I used to have that one as well. I believe it will fit right up to any mid block BM. Believe, that's not for sure. On my 05 superstock I had to shave it down to fit between the tubes but it did work

An update for anyone that cares or finds it useful. I got the Inception sled in today and although I was able to make it work, I would say it is less than ideal and will likely replace it at some point. It is significantly wider than the stock sled and since the BM is not milled through I wound up having to trim the inside edge almost completely to the hole for the bolt pin. There is about 1/16th of an inch left at the narrowest point and that just barely got it there, I really think it could use another 1/16 off to give it a little breathing room. That said, it feels reasonable strong and it is functioning as expected so for now I am gonna call it good enough 😂
