    Slide Frame Spring Set Problems

Short version - I'm looking for a set of springs for a benchmark single trigger frame. Is there a good source for a selection besides ID? And does anyone know what valve this is, so I can replace the seat & poppet o-ring?

Long version - I’m running a Benchmark frame on an Oracle Mini and chasing a lighter trigger pull.
This started because the existing valve (unknown manufacturer) began leaking intermittently. I couldn’t identify it or source a replacement seat or poppet o-ring, so I decided to re-valve and re-spring the marker while I was in there.
On the frame side, the trigger geometry and friction were already addressed years ago:
    • Frame cleaned and stoned
    • Shocktech stainless trigger plate
    • FreeFlow roller sear
    • Brass-tipped set screws
    • ~0.002" PTFE shim between frame and body
Despite all that, I never changed the frame springs.
Last week I ordered a full spring kit from Inception Designs. The sear springs included are clearly not a purpose-matched set:
    • Mixed finishes (not an issue)
    • Different wire diameters (not an issue)
    • All are too short to function as-supplied (definitely an issue)
    For reference:
    • Existing sear spring (works): ~1.55" length × ~0.300" OD
    • ID’s three softest sear springs: ~1.10" length × ~0.250" OD
    • Measured distance from spring seat to sear underside: ~1.20"

As-received, none of the ID springs will hold the sear up without stretching or stacking, which obviously isn’t ideal. Attached is a pic of the ID spring set next to the spring that's been working for me. Also, the valve I don't know where to get parts for.

    Question:
Is this a known issue with current off-the-shelf sear spring kits, or is the Benchmark frame geometry expecting a longer / larger-OD spring than what’s commonly supplied now? is there a better source for proper frame springs? Does anyone recognize this valve or know the manufacturer so I can rebuild it?

The valve looks like a Shocktech Rat. Also don't know where my extra trigger springs are currently, so I can't compare. Otherwise you can get a Shocktech trigger spring kit, and hope that works better. Otherwise the long one is your sear spring for now.

New to autocockers but it looks like a Shocktech Rat valve that's been anodized?

        Yeah its a rat 100%.
        The seals are regularly available.

ID frames (and some others) take a shorter sear spring.
        Shocktech offers frame springs.
ACP also offers frame springs. I like them from here. https://autocockerparts.com/trigger-...e-frame-parts/
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

OK. Thanks for the help. I'll order a replacement seat and a spring kit from Shocktech. I'll also order a spring kit from autocockerparts.com to see if they are different. Then if I want more variability, I'll put my dimensions into thespringstore.com and order some more options.
