    3-way Leak

Have a 2k3 with stock pneumatics and the 3-way is now leaking from the front. It started as an intermittent leak but would go away after a couple of shots, then after a few more outings I noticed that it would start skipping shots at higher rates of fire. Finally leak stopped going away and became constant. I've replaced all the o-rings and that hasn't helped.

Thoughts? It shoots and everything works but obviously can't use with constant leak. I thought maybe it was bad timing rod adjustment so I went through that process and the only length that stops the leak makes the timing rod way too short and marker won't fire and block stays back. Once I bring it to point that it fires correctly, it's venting out front of 3-way.

Do I just replace 3-way? It's pretty old and I have no idea of how much usage before I bought it.

Tried to rebuild ram and accidentally broke it so picked up a new Empire ram. Tested it out today and leak is still there. Leaks as soon as gun is aired up - noticed that it cycles better with new ram. But it starts double feeding if I shoot too fast. Works fine if I shoot slowly.

At this point do I just get new 3way? Want to make sure that's it and not just throw parts at the problem. New o-rings on 3way all look fine so not really sure what is leaking.

          Lpr set too high?

Will check that. It's not something I've ever touched and I put maybe 3 cases through it last year without any leaks, then got a another case through it with intermittent leak. If it was too high entire time, would it have caused other issues?

Sorry for the basic questions, this is all new to me. My other markers are either old blowbacks where replacing an o-ring will fix any problem or modern electros that I don't touch other than to grease. Literally I figured out how to time it then never touched anything again to prevent breaking anything.

              .
Not necessarily. For cockers there is a pretty large window between too high and too low. The only thing the lpr air does is cock the marker so if it is off you may not see any velocity issues

Too low and you can see skipped shots (dry fire) or more likely the marker won't recock

Too high and you can see paint being crushed by the force of the bolt or a ram/3 way leak

Here's how I've always set mine and it's worked well. Pull on your back block/bolt pin by hand. It should be difficult to pull back but not impossible. Adjust accordingly and remember to cycle the marker a few times if you are going down in pressure (to cycle the higher pressure out)

Ended up picking up a new Inception 3 way and problem solved, no more leaks. Still not sure why old one was leaking so bad, all the O-rings look good since they're new. Will dig into it when I have time out of curiosity. After small issue with running hoses backwards, it shoots great now. No more skipping shots and it's much easier to shoot fast (much better than even before the issues started) - now I see what I've been missing out on with modern pneumatics. Or at least ones that are not 18 years old with indeterminate usage.

                Thanks for all the advice.

I hear that. I'm going down the same path as you and I couldn't be happier with these more modern parts.
