    Chrome flaking on bolt

    Should the bolt be replaced on a pump autococker if the chrome is flaking off?

    Depends. You can try to remove the chrome and polish the contact areas If the flaking is just cosmetic and you don’t care how it looks, keep it. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal since chrome is thin and will break into small pieces and blow out. Stock polished aluminum and some used delrin bolts are affordable so it’s up to you.
