So cleaning my R7 after a good use at Stocktoberfest. I noticed this slot near the frame screw hole. Is this for a detent and if so what type?

I just came across this on the spare body I have. The only thing I could get to work was to cut a piece of tank o-ring to create a U. Any small o-ring I tried just fell right out. Trimmed it to have it protrude enough to stop a ball, but not enough to hang up the bolt going forward. I'm not sure what the thought behind it was. It prevents double feeds, but does nothing for roll outs. I've never had a problem with double feeds on a breach-drop body before, so this seems a bit pointless to me. -
Looks very much like the kind of detent slots Have Blue will cut into Phantom bodies, though his are in pairs and leave a shelf to perch the ring in.

It's a 3rd gen model so yes that is for a detentComment
