    Avratech R7 main body

Hello MCB! I'm not really new - took a long hiatus from the sport but looking to get back in. I might've spent too much money and had to force myself out lol.

Anyways, I had bought an R7 here back when I was a regular and it turned out to have a broken main body screw and I was wondering if I could purchase a replacement body. If not I was thinking about selling it in which case what do you all think it would be worth?

Post a picture you can probably repair it. You’re not going to find parts for it. You could get a machinists to make a new one but it won’t be cheap.

It would definitely be worth more repaired. If you don’t feel comfortable send it to someone to fix that know what they are doing.

Did these use the CCI thread inserts? Post a pic.

Thank you for the replies! I think I can use better words to describe the issue now: The threads on the main body have been stripped to the point where the insert(?) won't stay in place. *edit - apologies for the weird photo uploads :/

That looks like the cci insert. Honestly it may be easier to have someone weld, machine and redrill and tap that hole than to have a new one made.

If you want to order a new body you can message Josh directly...I believe he's still active on Facebook.

That’s an excellent option too! I had no idea he’s reachable.. What is the easiest way to find him? Full name? Search Avratech?

Search for Josh Grasby or search for the Grasby R7R which is his newer version
