Picked up a KP3. Love it, but have some questions...

I snagged a sweet white and red KP3 a couple of weekends ago at Spring Pump Event. Ran almost exclusively all weekend, and it ran great, but I'm running into an odd binding issue when I pump. I can't really see it happening on the outside/rubbing on the body anywhere. Maybe it's the pump arms twisting and causing an issue with the sled? Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how to remedy it? Brain trust, do your work!

I picked up a KP3 for super cheap about a year ago. Thinking it would be a cheap loaner. I was really impressed with how nice the pump stroke it and how well it shot. My only complaint was the trigger pull was long and spongy. I am very prissy though!

Anyway. have you tried pulling the bolt and pin out and pumping it? That will help to see if it is an external issue or internal. If it is smooth without the bolt and pin in, then I would tear it apart and look for any split, loose, or faulty o-rings that could be binding.

Agreed. Nice gun for the price, but I couldn't stand the trigger.

I'm assuming that it's the same as doing a trigger job for a Spyder.

I'll pull the bolt and see if still binds.

I had this issue back when I had a KP3 as well and I never found a perfect remedy to it. A fellow on eBay designed a bolt-sled that is supposed to really help smooth out the stroke and I believe it would address the issue. Here is a link to the product. It's currently out of stock, but I reckon if you message the seller he could print some new ones. Here's a Reddit video showing the product and the improvement. Note I don't have any firsthand experience with this, but I think it's a step in the right direction.

Oh hell, I can do that! Good price tho, if he were still in production.

Test run last night and we ran a whole loader full through it without any binding! That was through a Spire 260 too!
