    A-Bomb Ram/Cap Mismatch?

Hi all, I'm rebuilding my old A-Bomb Intimidator to get it back up and running again, it's been sitting a long time. When I stripped it down I saw that the bumper on my ram is cracked, so I started looking for a replacement. ANS seems to have some old stock that's really similar, but looking into it sort of put me down a rabbit hole. I'm seeing now that Alias Timmies originally came with bumperless rams and the bumper was on the cap? I guess mine may have been replaced by an aftermarket part by the previous owner, this is just always what it's had the entire time I've owned it since the mid-2000s and I assumed it was stock.

I guess I'm just wondering is if this setup I have is fine? If so, I can just go forward with the replacement ram I ordered. The thing that worries me is that it says it works with "any Intimidator as long as it has a cavity in the cap for the bumper. Mine definitely doesn't have any cavity, it's just an adjustable ram cap with a flat brass end facing the bumper. I'll attach pictures so you can see what I have. I'm just wanting to make sure I have a solid setup for this old girl. I also have to move the adjustor forward quite a bit towards the end of the threads to get the bolt where I want it, but that's probably ok I suppose. I appreciate any advice you can offer.

Its an older style ram and adjuster so long as old is matched with old you should be ok.
