Protege leak down barrel... Mostly

Working on another one of Super Nova s absolute gems. Just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything stupid here.

Leak down barrel, mostly, some air escaping between the frame as well. if I zero out the LPR nothing changes. The valve set screw is not solid, the center is open straight through to the ram sleeve. So on a hunch I completely wrapped the valve set screw in Teflon mainly to see if the leak caused the Teflon to blow through the screw center and then I would know better where the air was coming from. Well, it sealed up the frame leak and left me with only the leak down the barrel.

So I'm down to the front ram sleeve o ring or the poppet itself. I've replaced the o ring twice already so I'm thinking it's the poppet but wanted to see if there's anything I'm forgetting first

I'd check the poppet cup seal. I've never own a Protege but did have a couple G6Rs and those hard poppet seals tended to have very slight leaks. I'm not sure how severe your leak is.

I'd call it noticable but like the marker still functions just fine with it so it's not terrible.

I was leaning towards the poppet anyway. I'll try to reface it first and see if that gets me anywhere
