    Raptor pump conversion?

Since I have 3 working raptors and 1 body, I'm curious to know if anyone has ever made a pump raptor or if it's possible to do so? Like, maybe employing Autococker pump parts or a Nelson style pump configuration? I'd like some input before cannibalizing a good raptor

ive been thinking about trying that also. i would think it would be similar to spyder pumps

It'd probably be easier to do it that way, like build a pump assembly, slide it over barrel, attach the arm to the bolt, and mod the trigger assembly to disengage semi-auto or something like that. I'd build two arms and drill/tap a hole on the other side of the bolt but the body would need a slot milled for access though

I'm a goof sometimes lol. There doesn't need to be any milling and drilling/tapping the right side. I couldn't remember if that side was exposed or not. Either way, that means less work to do the conversion

I am pretty sure melkson did a Raptor pump. I was quite some time ago. I think there is still a picture of it somewhere on the nation.

Yeah, I was scouring through the topics to see if I could see one but I didn't see anything

Yeah, I can’t find the pic on there either right now, link probably expired. Here is the pic of it though off google. I think the pump rod ran down the right side of the gun and attached to the hammer.

Ah yes, I saw that pic awhile back. Makes me wonder why there is only one arm attached to the hammer 🤔

I have pumped a Spyder, F1 Illustrator, Model 98, ICD Alley Cat, Mokal Aura(stbb), ICD BKO, and an Etek.
The F1 is very similar to the Raptor. Shot it a few weeks ago and it shot amazing.
you can pretty much turn any blowback into a pump if you want. Click image for larger version

It looks like there's a hole in the bolt for the left arm to attach to and the right arm with a spring assist attached to the hammer. How did you delete the semi-auto function and if you don't mind me asking, why not attach both arms to the hammer? I know that there is a pin linking the bolt and hammer together on the raptor, just curious to know to know why you modded it the way you did

I could be wrong about my previous comment, is that right arm attached to the hammer or is it attached to the cap on the front of body?

the lower hole in the F1 is the original cocking slot. I cut a new one in the upper tube to attach the pump handle to the bolt. the small rod on the pump handle is just a guide/return spring

There are 2 ways to do a pump conversion. For a true pump you need to disconnect the upper bolt and lower striker, by slotting the striker so that when the pump handle move the bolt backwards the striker is carried back to latch on the sear. then when you move the bolt forward to chamber the ball the striker stays in the back until its released by the trigger pull. You need to stop the recock air from the valve by tapping the tiny hole and putting a grub screw in it. you will prob need to trim the main spring because all the air that used to be used to recock is now going down the barrel.

The second method leaves the gun functioning as a semi. When you pull the trigger the striker cycles normally but you remove the connecting pin all together and attach the pump handle to the bolt.
although the gun will fire every time you pull the trigger it wont shoot a ball until you pump one into the chamber.

Okay, I think I got it now. After you explained it, I realized that the cocker cannot move with the bolt in a pump configuration. I wonder how that green Raptor in the first pic was setup. Hmmm, well I am pretty handy with a dremel and I have a mangled up Raptor body that I could mess with(turned the left-hand threaded asa adapter the right way 😅). Rookie mistakes are the best teachers sometimes lol

If you need any other Raptor bodies to practice on just let me know. I literally have about 20 sitting in a box. I’ll send you a couple for shipping costs.

I'll keep that in mind. I have 4, 3 with all internals and 1 mangled up. Just need to get a pump grip or possibly make one
