Not sure, I was kinda wondering the same thing. I noticed he unfortunately just posted up most his stuff for sale on CL. Not a bad deal really for $1300.

Excuse my ignorance..... But what is "Ice?" is it the clear plastic? Cause I've heard that referred to as "ghost" as well.

Damage to the plastic prompted me to paint it, though

RADwriter The "Ice" models are later runs of the Stingray 2. They were made with a cheaper & more brittle plastic. The Ice models are cool for style points, but the older black ones are best for durability. Same as the Talon vs. the Talon Ghost, with the Ghost being inferior in terms of durability.

So, then I definitely have an ice, but just got a regular black one off a friend definitely noticed the difference in plastic

The black plastic is Zytel, I’m not sure what the ice versions where made of.
