Blue stingray with the upgraded barrel and Venturi bolt

Eagle 68 which is apart because the body has begun to crack

NIB (and staying that way) Eagle 68

    NIB Raptor xtreme

NIB (maybe??) Rainmaker. Zero blemishes or signs of use, except for what appears to be epoxy on the feed neck?

        2 questions..

How do you guys attempt to reinforce the eagle 68 body? Was probably gonna use standard issue JB. Used this thing last year, works great, just falling apart.

How should I go about giving the rainmaker a tune up prior to use? I’ve had this for over 10 years just sitting. And when I bought it, it was probably after sitting for as long or more. Luckily there was no batteries in it, so zero corrosion on the battery holder.

        Thanks!

Nostalgia bomb! Love the classic BE stuff, but you def. need to add a Tigershark to the collection.

For the Rainmaker you want to look into the Mad Marty Mods so it doesn't rip itself apart. I think Jordan could provide some insight as he used to work on Rainmakers, or you could do some aggressive Googling.

Eagle 68 is made from shit plastic, I think Elmer's glue was used for some reinforcement. But it will ultimately fail.

You have a very nice start to your Brass Eagle Collection. All very nice examples. There are a whole lot more markers in the Brass Eagle collection than you may think.
The black plastic Tiger Shark and Stingray are a must for your collection, as they can be used on the field without any real worries. The plastic used for the Eagle 68 was/is brittle shit. The Clear and Colored plastic used for the Stingray II Ice and the Tiger Shark is better but still cracks with use.
Take it from someone who has a metric shit ton of Brass Eagle stuff, a lot of the Brass Eagle line was designed to be cheap disposable. However, there are some things you can do. As far as the Eagle 68, you need to reinforce the internal and external sides of each shell half as the action is too hard for the plastic structure to withstand. The most obvious solution is to fiberglass the shell. This does take some skill and patience with applying fiberglass. The upside is that it can be done in stages, is thin, strong and lightweight. If done well, you can retain the external body details. The internal unused voids can be filled with epoxy, body putty or any similar material to help reinforce the screw posts and other stress points.
Here is a little peak at your future

                        Thanks!
Used quick dry Epoxy Steel (JB Weld works also), also better screws than the self tapping, see highlighted below:

Matched pair of Brass Eagle β€œEagle 68” pistols
Filled in all empty spaces inside with Epoxy Steel (lots of it), to reinforce the weak plastic bodies
Removed self tapping screws and used machine screws and countersunk nuts (filled in holes)

Sanded down body graphics (left "Eagle 68" intact)
                        Body painted light textured black
Painted grip panels textured tan (to look like separate wood grip panels)
All new o-rings, and lubed properly (Brass Eagle originally recommended transmission fluid!)
                        CO2 plug painted black
                        ~285 across the chrono
                        (Also have 12 loader tubes)

                        BTW, your collection is amazing...

I love 9VDC Revys just fast enough for my pump markers and large enough hopper I can go on the field in a scenario without carrying any pods.
