Options for gas thru grip phantom?

What options exist these days for gas thru grip open-class phantoms? Is that still the realm of custom work?

There was a member here that, I think, 3d printed a custom one off 86*(?) grip frame. Then iirc, either rotated the stock valve body and retapped the rear grip frame screw hole. Or tapped a new air fitting hole underneath and slapped a gauge on the side. Pretty sure macro fittings and line was used in the grip though. They may have retapped the ASA air inlet or had a new one off custom made.

The "trick" I recall was removing the collar from one of the macro fittings, so the macro could be removed without access to the top fitting. Pretty clever.

I vaguely recall a mod that used 5/32" microline inside the grip, and then had a new threaded port drilled farther forward on the valve body so that it lined up with the grip. Maybe this 86 grip is what I'm remembering?

Yeah, macroless like an ICD PRP or one of Stanchy's custom jobs. There's nothing really functionally wrong with a setup that uses external lines, but nelson pumps look so sleek if you can get rid of them.

I've also seen mods where a bucket changer was integrated into the grip like on the Retro 7.

IIRC Dukie did a frame that incorporated the bucket changer into it.

The gas-thru pistol grips on Automags still have macroline fittings kissing on the side, and look great... so tapping new holes in the valve probably isn't necessary.

Just grab a metal 45 grip adapter, and do whatever you do for "sleeper" ASA conversions. Run the line out the side of the grip to the side of the valve, just like the Automags.

Yep. Nummech makes them for Mags & Cockers. A Phantom version should be doable.

i did it like this. tomorrow i cut the valve body to flush it with the frame like shown above

Mine is also a microline gas through grip like the photos stealthfox2 posted. Both were done by the same person named Trevor (although I think stealthfox is doing his own machining on his version of Trevor's mod in Germany).
I found one of Trevor's posts on Facebook showing 6 beautiful gas through's and bugged him to sell me one (the gunmetal grey on the right). He seems willing to share the how to (I didn't have the patience or the skills), so if you PM me, I can get you his contact.
The second photo is how it is currently set up (I also got the gas through bobbed black valve from the top Phantom).
The last two photos show the routing of the microline and connection between the ASA and the Grip.

Just for fun the other day, I flipped the ASA around and mounted the SC feed tube for a hoseless Hawaiian Stock Class setup. I’m looking forward to trying it.
No offense to anyone who has a HSC build...but I always HATED the look of the hose looping around from the ASA to the valve on the ones I saw, and figured it was probably cumbersome to switch hands quickly also. I’m sure is probably no trouble at all for those who are used to it, but hoseless (externally anyway) HSC looks so sleek.

Pumpsendacate was the member. Aaron, made an 86 gas trough 3d printed one piece trigger/gripframe that held a Palmers female stabilizer as the bottomline ASA and routed the macroline up trough the grip and out the side tucked next to the body and entering a macro fitting in the valve orientated 45 degrees down on the left side. It was quite ingenious.
