Where did the valve lock/low velocity on 12 grams thread go?

Am I crazy? I thought I saw a thread in one of the forums just a day or so ago from a member discussing low velocity due to overpressure (possibly).
Now I cannot find it. I thought it was here or in ask the experts, but even the search function on the whole site is not coming up with anything, and I cannot remember who was the OP.
    Any leads?

    Nobody saw it?!?
Time to get myself tested for early dementia i guess....

So anyway, I was looking forward to the discussion, as I often also have that issue. Maybe some of you have experiences to share on how you have managed pressure/velocity issues (without using a regulator).
    Any Insights?

I definitely saw it. Not sure where it went

On a Phantom it’s only when your playing in +95* weather. If your having issues below that change out your springs for stock silver ones.

There are many regulator options out there if you are running into issues.

In the heat you can also just shoot more so that the pressure is always below a certain point, counteracting the heat, basically. Having a gauge really helps.

Also it was super hot at Slims this year both days and I don’t recall a single issue with valves choking. There were a ton of phantoms in use. I don’t think I would want to play in hotter then that weather. I just assume sit by the pool.

I really don’t think it’s necessary to reg a properly setup Phantom. I think they perform the best just the way they are. Now that you can get the ASP detents stock from the factory it’s the best performing Stock Class marker to date without a doubt.

Agreed. They are consistent and very adjustable just the way they are. No regs to worry about.

In extreme heat I like to use a Sheridan CO2 reg just to prevent spikes, but as others have said there are plenty of workarounds

I just chrono more often on hot days. Haven't had my phantom lock up at all, and I've seen the gauge at 1200psi

I see 1200 pretty often, never had a valve lock situation. I did have it happen with my Sterling once, but that doesn’t have a gauge so I don’t know what the pressure was. I know it was in the 90s that day.
