    Phantom parts availability

This might be a stupid question, but are phantom parts readily available? I was checking out a used phantom at my fields proshop and the guy there was saying if something breaks then I'm SOL. In my head I was thinking "it's a phantom, what vital components could possibly break?" I'm assuming o-rings are the main item that wears out. People have been shooting these guns for a long time and they seem pretty simple, i didn't think there were any proprietary parts that I needed to be worried about. Was also browsing the phantom online store and it looks like most parts are in stock.

    Thanks for the input! 🙂

Phantom parts are available and still made...along with the marker! Extreme Velocity purchased the company a few years back and are still going strong. You can inform the guy at your proshop he is misinformed.

Thanks BigRed, that's kinda the vibe I got from browsing the website this evening but I didn't want to run my mouth at the proshop. Should have pulled out my phone and showed the dude the phantom website right there.

Maybe you can use his ignorance to your advantage.

"Being that I can't get parts for this thing no more...you should give it to me for a better price!"

Leverage a better price since “if something happens your SOL” but the truth is parts are easy get new or used and they really don’t have wear items. Phantoms last forever. Maybe replace a cup seal now and again but you can flip those and get another 8+ years of play out of em. Phantom is probably one of the most reliable markers out there. It’s such a simple design.

Only things to ever replace on a Phantom are lost screws, cup seals, and the occasionally overtightened TPC set screw.

If you break anything else.... you either tripped and core sampled your marker.... or you are just plain doing it wrong.

Have no fear... your Phantom will likely outlast you!

I was given to understand it wasn't so much replacement parts, but upgrade parts.

And yes, for a little while there, not all parts and upgrades were available, as EV got back up to speed. I was worried, myself, for a bit, as I planned to use several Phantom parts in the Duke, and briefly wondered if I was going to have to make those parts myself.
