    Current values, old vs. new

Hi! Looking to pull the trigger on a used VSC, undercocking, matching ano and a stock. What are the current values? I'm sure this question pops up here, but thought I'd ask since things change often. Also other than price, are there any advantages on picking up an older one vs. new? Heard here and there of people having various issues with the new ones. Just trying to get an idea before I drop cash. Have tons of markers, will be my first phantom. Thanks in advance!!!

No old and new are valued roughly the same with preference toward the new ones because they have been beaten up less.

like if it was a black gun I’d take the new one if I had the choice for the same money, not sure how much extra I’d pay though.

the latest frames which I haven’t seen don’t have the safety and I’d pay more to have no safety too.

Current values for VSC I'd say are around 250-450 depending on anno/extras/condition. Basic black no extras would be a decent deal at 250. What you’ve described, usually around 300-350.

Here’s a great deal on an open class right feed that I’m pretty sure is still available.

And here’s another that was just posted and sold to give you an idea of the bare bones prices for VSC.

Here’s an active example on the high end, but only because of what’s packaged.

All would be great deals depending on what you’re looking for.

Ya saw and o.d. green setup on the Facebook BST page. Was curious if it was really worth asking price before I bother messaging the owner. Vsc, all matching od green, 2 barrels, 1 freak bored, undercocking, L stock, SC feeder and an extra clamping feed neck.

What are they asking for that? Not looking to poach but I can give you an idea if it’s worth it. Looks like a nice setup.

Phantoms are the sum of there parts. Accessories add up quickly. Really depends on what you are looking for.

Most parts are gloss black so if you’re not sure start with a VSC in gloss black and mod to your liking.

The extreme issues are due to a bad batch of power tubes, and the cheaper option of macro over the hardline they offer (I wouldn’t even offer macro) they also are not setting them up and adjusting them properly or testing them before shipping.

Fit and finish is nice on them and quality is still there. They have added a few new update options like detents and spring feeds. There issues really are from not knowing the platform well. Phantom also picked up in popularity so prices jumped up after Mike left. So you have a lot of People shooting them that don’t have a lot of experience with them. In reality they are a set it and forget it marker. They are extremely reliable when they are setup properly. Mike insured the markers came ready to go so they were good for a century worth of abuse before needing a cup seal flipped. Extreme seems to be having issues with that and it’s nobody fault but their own. There is nothing wrong with any of them with the exception of a bad batch of power tubes that should be fixed now if you were to order new.

What would be the symptoms of a bad power tube?

Green is rare. I think seller there wants 450. It’s a lot more than the 275 silver one but if you wanted that color that’s what you may have to pay. Plus it has l stock and other high value accessories

$450 is not bad . As long as it’s in good condition. Freak bore barrel would sweeten the pot. As long as it’s not all scratched up. That’s a fair price honestly. Hard to tell from the picture tho. Is the valve miss matched? I’m not on BookFace so I can’t look it up. But dust green is a cool color. Looks like it comes with the open Class adapter too.

Ask for more pictures and pay with PayPal. If they are asking $450 see if they will except $450 shipped and PayPal’d.

Phantom honestly shoot better the more you break them in. If you can get that shipped for $450 I don’t think you can get hurt for that. Especially with the extra matching barrel UC kit stock VSC kit and cool color Ano.

Agreed, and this one is pretty slick and personally my favorite UC kit.

Totally agree. I didn't like the first two Phantoms I had, then I stuck with the third and now I love them. Need a little poop in the holes to get 'em proper.
