Who makes/sells flared brass tubes for the pump rod mod?

I know that before MCB got wiped, there was a guy on here who sold flared brass tubes to improve the pump stroke. Does anybody know who that was, or who I could reach out to to pick up a few tubes?

I have one extra flared pump shim if you want. I picked up one of each from Aggroman and went with the straight non flared version.

Some special way to install these things? If I push it in past the grip frame screw hole, it's like it gets pinched in the pump rod slot and can't move the pump rod at all. But if it's after the grip screw hole, works a little better, but sticks out a bit

I have the straight one installed and it sticks out a tiny bit from the frame.

This is another thing I'm new to, what do the pump shims do and where do they go?

They take the little bit of wiggle out of the pump arm. It's a small brass tube that you put on the pump rod then sits in the milled out groove in the body. It fits very snug in the body and doesn't move but guides the rod without any slop. You can see it in the picture below.

HmMm did you have a hard time getting that in? I will have to play with it more but mine seems to get pinched and then the rod won't move

Once I had it on the rod and the pump kit back together it was a firm press into the slot from above. I didn't slide it in from the front...not sure if that is what you did.

BigRed (not sure if tagging works haha)

Yeah, I pressed it in from above. Just seems like the slot is too tight for the shim so it pinches it and prevents the rod from moving.

I've been considering trying this lateley. Has anyone considered Shimming the main pump rod that goes into the middle of the pump handle on UC kits as well?
