Pretty cool! I'm actually really glad they're moving forward with the Phantom brand again. Now if they would just bring back the 12gram drop out valve...
I've already, in the past year, purchased an additional 1.7-ish Phantoms from the online store. The Phleet is ever growing. Its approximately 4.6-ish.....😁
In early 2019 I bought a silver VSC Phantom with vert feed for $350, one of the last new Phantoms then for sale. If I configure that same gun minus the rear gauge (I can’t figure out how to add it) today it’s $391. Thats really good considering you can have the thing any color you want now and I only got silver last year because I had too.
In the illustration the rear plate on the under cocked handle is black no matter what color is chosen. I wonder if that’s intentional. In the old days the plate varied with the rest of the gun.
Mike didn't raise his prices over decades with CCI. It's hard to continue that forever. Plus I'd say the secondary market these days more than validates a rate increase

This is fun to play around with. Even if you're not in the market for a whole marker you can see how yours would look with a different color combination.

Their turn around time for a custom one is roughly a week from the date of the order. If they have the part in stock. But it seems like they’re doing good with it. If the adding to cart feature doesn’t work, then just screen shot it and send them an email.
I also spoke to Jesse on the phone a few days ago and there’s a lot of big things he’s working on and wanting to do for the phantom. As well as freak xl bored barrels coming in 2 months or so once they’re done anodizing.
One big thing everyone needs to understand is that this isn’t 1990 anymore. Costs have gone up. Things aren’t as cheap anymore. They’re working on cost effective measures to keep costs low for configurations. As well talking about removing certain parts you don’t need, like the safety on it to save some costs, etc, and keeping it as an option you can request. So there’s a lot they’re trying to do. But understand that part. If you love the phantom, then support the company to help keep one of our favorite markets alive for a long time.
Can confirm Jesse Snyder is a top notch communicator and helped sort out getting me a part they had but not put up on the website yet, so if you want something and don't see it just ask, they might!
I actually do have a fondness for the safety on my Phantoms. It’s very nice. It’s totally useless though, a genetic leftover from the BB conversion days.
They might be opening themselves up to legal trouble if they get rid of the safety. The ASTM spec for paintball guns calls for a safety if memory serves. I realize that the chances are pretty low but any ambulance chasing lawyer will track down the relevant codes and standards.
I actually like the safety on mine too. Sometimes I just like to click it back wnd forth before matches as a nervous tick I do. Lol. So I’ll keep mine on. He’ll keep it as an option.
