    Are Phantom Hammers Hardened?

I'm thinking about buying one to tap for a velocity adjustment set screw on my Bushmaster. Can't drill out/tap if it's hardened.

On a related note, is anyone aware of any other 007/Bushmaster/Lapco compatible anti kink hammers in brass/stainless/steel?

Phantom internals will only work on breech drop nelsons...

If your bushy is a skirmish you'll need to replace everything not just the hammer

What prevents a breech drop hammer from working with a bore drop bolt (provided the sear is correct)?

Generally hammers, bolts, and power tubes need to be paired. Stock bushmaster bolts are pretty oddly shaped

It wouldn't be anti-kink with out the matching bolt. some nelson bolt/hammer combos use the velocity adjuster tube for anti-kink others use the hammer withan extension that slots into the bolt.
I have seen a brass nelson hammer before, so there is one out there

Kingman Hammers came with brass bolts and hammers, but aren't compatible with Phantoms. Way different dimensions on most of the parts

Phantom hammers are not hardened - that's what's allowed myself, Stanchy, and others to machine slots in them to provide an analogue to the fabled Lapco fluted hammers.

However, the bolts and sears _are_ hardened, so bear that in mind if you ever try making holes in one.
