    Brass Hardline Kit

Anyone have experience with the brass hardline kit EV sells? Just looking to spruce up my phantom a bit (and get one piece closer to being able to build a second phantom with all my spare parts). I thought I remember someone mentioning it along with other parts that have had QC issues but I could be mistaken. Who has one and how do you like it?

I've had two so far and they both worked fine for me! Just don't over tighten it and you are good to go.

It’s the same design as the stainless one so it should be good other than brass being way way softer and easier to bend than the original stainless and the integrity of that line system relies on the line never bending. It’s for sure a downgrade in durability but also (I sure hope) price. It’s kind of a stupid “innovation” on EV’s part, but absolutely not the stupidest. It doesn’t ruin functioning guns like the 2.0 frame did.

I'm with SoZ on this one - I like brass as much as the next guy but using it as an unsupported hardline isn't the greatest idea.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I have had a couple brass hardlines in the past. I never had an issues with them. I never beat on my phantom, but still play hard with them.

          not sure if that helps,…

I've been running a brass hard-line with the stock fittings for 4-5 years now. I did it as one of my experiments for better efficiency. Small improvement there.

I've been running brass hard-line on my primary Phantoms for years now and have had 0 issues with mine. It's a nice little dress up piece, but I haven't noticed any changes performance wise.

I would like to think it would take a really hard hit to either SS or brass to have a failure. The only problem I've ever had with and hardline has been old seals. My .02 is that brass is more malleable than stainless, and would likely just bend. But if you're taking a hit that hard, you probably have other broken things to worry about.

Just put one on a new phantom build. I'll let you know how it goes!

Should be totally fine. It's basic and those fittings are pretty idiot proof.

I haven’t tried one but the design is the same it should be fine. It’s definitely better than the macro and fitting setup that’s just asking for leaks. I’m actually disappointed EV offers that now it makes the Phantom a lot less reliable. Something that the Phantom was always known for.

If you want to Jazz up the line you could always wrap the tube with shrink wrap with various colors. I did my stainless one on my Black Phantom in black just heat it trim it back for the fittings.
