12g puncture pin seal too thick?

I had to replace the puncture pin seal on my 12g changer and I ordered one from phantom online. After replacing the seal it leaves a small gap between the bucket and housing. The seal is doing its job and it doesn’t leak but I am not sure if this gap is normal.

What brand 12 gram are you using? Sometimes they are a bit longer

I only have Crossman 12g right now but this hasn't happened until I changed the seal

I've never had a long crossman. If it seals fine I would just roll with it

The new CCI owners changed materials to nylon in order to save money and have subsequently tanked the quality of their seals. flyweightnate tried to talk to the new owners about it and instead of listening they recommended "really crank down on it the first time you use it." Rather than doing that, I would recommend using these seals instead:

Pretty typical to have a bit of a gap with a 12g installed on mine

What is the most upsetting, is the philps headed screw, used for a front frame screw. ..I mean only a masochist would do that.

I bought it like that 🤷. Do not fret! With the puncture pin seal I also ordered a front frame screw as well as a cup seal.

A few of mine have has a small gap as well.
if it ain’t leaking, I say you rock it on the field
