Duckslide

Was looking back through the threads here and found out about the duckslide add-on and became quite interested in this "modification" for the Phantom. Based on everything I'd read, I had the impression this was an old of production part that would prove difficult and likely pricey to find. To my surprise, a quick Google search found some raw duckslides in stock at Nova PB. Is this just lucky timing on my part or was my understanding of the rarity of this addon incorrect?

Nova has been running this closeout sale for a while now, from what I've heard their duck slides are okay at best. Apparently there's some sizing issues, the usual quality control issues that nova has, and they haven't really fixed any of them. You can make them work, but you might need to modify it a little. For the closeout price it's not bad, I think there is a different thread somewhere that talks about it a lot more

Could Nova have done a much better job of this? Yes absolutely. That said they work great, especially after they added the Delrin sleave. My son rocks one on his phantom and loves it. The action is smooth, and after we ano it will look the part. For 75 bucks, buy with confidence. I don’t see anyone else making some anytime soon.
