HPA with BBA and one piece 12 round

Does anyone here run with an HPA tank directly in the BBA as well as use the CCI one piece 12 round feed tube? I have a basic HK 48ci 3k tank and the gauge on the regulator prevents the tank from screwing into the BBA completely when the 12 round feed is installed.

I'm looking at getting a 13ci or even a 9ci tank for my Phantom, but was curious what regulators those running in this format are using that fit without hitting the feed gate in anyway.

Have you tried throwing a tank spacer in the mix?

I did look into those. I was more curious if I could save the $25 or so and see if there's already a regulator in-use in that configuration that doesn't need the extender.

powerhouse has the extended regs and you can index them any direction you want.

whenever i run into this, just take out the rear thumbscrew, screw the bottle in, and put it back in.

or are you saying, when you do this,
the fill nipple or guage is still in the way?

The gauge will hit against the feed tube when it gets screwed into the BBA with perhaps another 2-3 turns left until it's completely in. I've had to remove the 12 round feed tube to get the tank in and then put the tube back on. It's still a bit close to the feed gate once everything is back on. This is the basic reg that comes on the 48ci HK steelies you can get for $50

First photo is screwing in initially before the gauge and feed tube collide. Second photo is the tank all the way screwed in with the feed tube removed and then the feed is reinstalled. The fill nipple is in the way at this point.

yea but if it works, just screw the tank in and dont remove it till the end of the day

or use the rear thumbscrew and pull your valve when you need to unscrew it

😆 I've got a bucket changer on order. Also wanted to do a 9ci or 13ci tank with this for some modified SC.
