Changing cup seal, how to unscrew stem

How, so how do you hold the valve stem to unscrew the head to replace the cup seal?
I know its threaded, but no wrench flats, and very stuck on from age. Thank you

I use the old people jar gripper things to get a good hand grip on either side. I’ve never had one stuck past that though. Since this is MCB everyone should have a few on hand. 😉

Maybe use one of these rubber “jar openers” to get a better grip?

Soft Jaw pliers work great for stuff like that. It may be cross threaded or lock tight.

I use Channel-Loks, and place a piece of rubber hose over the top and bottom jaws. Cut a lengthwise slit in the hose piece and they slide right over the jaws.

Brilliant. Here I am buying soft jaws and the arched jaws rarely work for anything paintball.
        Working...
