Trigger geometry and slam fire problemo.

I've got a trigger that seems to have too much meat on top. Or perhaps not enough?

If I cock slow. It's fine. If I do it fast it autotriggers without touching the trigger.

I swapped the frame to another Phantom and same thing happened on the other one.
While the other frame functioned fine on both markers.

    So it's not the body.
    Not the hammer sears.

    Gotta be the trigger.

If I polish that up will it solve my problem?

The marker is playable. But I'd rather not have to train myself to pump slower on this one.

I wonder if it could have to do with the trigger spring.

I think i figured it out....
I backed out both thumb screws less than 1/8 turn and this frame works fine now.

      So...
      Huh.

Admittedly, this is the first new frame I've owned in quite a while.
Maybe they get more forgiving when they break in?

First time I ever had this problem 😆

Sounds kind of fun if it’s an open class Phantom! Lol.

Slightly concerning that it’s a new frame though. Worth a call to EV, unless you just mean new to you.

I'm gonna chock this up to user error and torque.

Put a piece of clear gorilla tape on top of the frame, then cut away the sear and pump slots. This should push the body up just a little and might help.

I’ve had the exact same issue before but with a non-stock trigger. Had to shave about 1/16” off the top of the trigger. Would be surprised if that’s needed on a CCI trigger though. Hope backing out the thumb screws continues working for you.
