    CCM T2 Spring

Got my T2 back from a project that needed to be put on hold, but I forgot that it has a bit of a velocity issue.

At what I would consider normal operating pressure (between venting down the barrel to the sweetspot), the gun seems to shoot hot even with the IVG unscrewed all the way to the back cap. I had the reg down to 250psi and it still shot 300-315fps. The only way I've gotten the velocity low enough is to turn the reg up past the sweet spot, but I'd like to use the gun for stock class and I believe doing that results in the velocity spiking near the end of the 12gram.

I see on the CCM website that the T2 mainspring is different than standard cockers. Does anyone know the difference between them? I think I may have replaced the spring at some point but that may have been an attempt to address the velocity.

I'm guessing a softer or shorter spring may address the issue, but figured I would check before making any changes.

I have some CCM hammer springs, they are very light. Too light to use with most setups.
I reckon you just need a lighter hammer spring.

(and you will want to run at your sweetspot for 12grams)
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

You can get new springs from CCMs website. I'd buy a new hammer and valve spring and then set your reg at 300 to start with. It may also be worth trying to get the parts to rebuild your regulator or at least the poppet spring.

The full body spring is even lighter than the halfblock spring. Try one of those.

I run the same springs for HPA and 12g Co2. Since you don’t know what’s in it. Put new stock springs in it. Start at 300 with 1.5 turns in from flush on the IVG should get you super close. Tune it on HPA then throw a 12g in it and adjust from there.

You should not get a spike at the end of the 12g with a reg. It will should get 30 shots before it vents on a hot day if you shoot slow and have it setup right.

You could be in need of a reg rebuild. If the CCM reg is maxed out you can mushroom the pin at the top and damage the reg. A lot of people who don’t shoot cockers adjust at the reg. This is wrong and can cause damage to the reg if done improperly. Especially when they turn it up and it don’t “shoot faster” so they turn it up more maxing the reg out and damaging its internals.

What if you remove the back cap?
