    G-Max Version AC Frame?

Picked this up recently and noticed the engraving when pulling things apart. I’m familiar with the G-Max Shockers, but never heard of an Autococker line with G-Max/CCM. Quick google and search on the forums didn’t turn anything up. Anyone know what/when these are from?

IIRC the GMax shockers were milled by CCM, so it is certainly possible that the GMax design folks did some stuff with them on cocker frames as well. Might be worth shooting an email to CCM about the frame with some pictures and asking if they have any information on it

It’s a common thing. I have a gmax CCM frame as well. Story is he was a that worked for CCM and they let him add his name to the milling on the frames. There should be a thread on this buried somewhere in here. I think I had asked the same question even. — couldn’t find it either. Maybe pre-hack?

It’s just an early 86 frame. For some reason I remember having to remove the frame to spin the reg off when using them but them that may have just been the way the early one piece S6 regs were designed. It didn’t have the clearance for the fitting requiring the frame to come off for reg maintenance. It looks to be the same dimensions as a standard 86* tho.

That's a reg thing. Early CCM regs had the fitting higher up so it didn't clear the trigger guard.

Thanks for the info! I knew CCM did the milling for the shockers, but did not know if there was an AC project they collaborated on along the way. I was planning to Anno the frame but didn’t want to change it if there was someone out there who needed this specific frame/color to finish a project.

Some early CCM frames and backblocks have GMax engraved on them like that. No functional difference. Just kind of a cool quirk on earlier parts. I've got a frame like that and a backblock with GMax laser engraved on it.

Your frame is an early one because it uses screws rather than the retention pins.
