T2 Back Block Stuck to Pump Rods

Trying to swap out the pump handle on my new to me T2 (putting the original pump handle with matching woodland ano back on). I took the screws out no problem. Every video I see shows the back block popping off after a little bit of wiggle. My back block isn’t moving. I’ve tried heat, I’ve cleaned out as much as I can where gunk may have built up inside the back block where the rods attach, I’ve let WD-40 sit over night — nothing works. No budge or wiggle at all.

Am I missing something glaring here? Or was the 10 years that this thing sat untouched in storage from the gent I bought it from just making it that difficult? I reviewed the other CCM forum posts pertaining to stuck screws, and the only thing I haven’t tried yet is cold.

    Anyone have ideas?

Put screws back in most of the way and give a lit tap with a hammer while back block is closed?
