DSG External Velocity Adjuster

Hella MCB,

Before i start, let be send a HUGE tanks to dukie for the help and direction with this.
He is OK with me sharing this, and thank you for that too 👍

So, here is what happen:
I overtighten the rear holder set screw and broke the external velocity adjuster.


Here is the complete adjuster taken apart for reference:


Again, thanks to dukie for the direction, the adjuster "angled gearbox" is a premade part from a guitar string tensioner!
So, the next step was to my local music store to pick up some supplies:


And then to the "shop" to make them fit into the DSG:

Than finish the rest of the adjuster


And then re-assembly:


Ad the gun finished with and without the "thumb handle"

ok, obviously the thumb handle is a no go for on the field because you could adjust the velocity on the fly. but damn does that look cool

You're right, not for the field, but it's better (and safer for the ano 😅) than using a wrench or pliers ...
